Just a quick note, on X there was a question if it would work with Debian on a Raspberry Pi.. It installs with no issues, BUT there is a time issue, it loses 4 seconds every minute with the sound in the Vice config turned off, with the Sound turned on it is 10 seconds every minute. Now, if you are dead set you must run it in Debian on a Pi, you can set up alarms to reset the clock every few hours if you have the CMD 2k or 4k ROM and set that as drive 9 and use that to set the clock. My opinion is I have tested this extensively on the Pi using Raspberry Pi OS, and I had no issues with time, I lost 8 seconds in 8 hours! So, as I said on my Facebook group Buyer beware if you break away from my testing stations..

Does the Lt. Kernal have an RTC like CMD HD?

No unfortunately it does not, back in the day there was plans for a module to plug into the cassette port which would keep real time, but Lloyd and Roy sold the rights and gave the plans of it along with all of the hardware to build them away.. The way around it with the LTK in emulation is if you own the rom to the CMD F2k or F4k drives, you can set that up as Drive 9 and point the RTC setup in Image to that drive and it will get the time there.. That is what I do on all of my hubs..

ON another note, with the time keeping issue I had last night, the main difference of my testing last night was installing Debian 11 for the x86/64 computers on the pI, NOT a ARM64 version.. So technically there may NOT be an issue, I will run some tests this morning on a ARM64 version of Debian and see what happens...

@bucko The FD-4000 is a great idea! And of course I have the ROMs 🤣…. Funny my problems on any install is lack of Linux knowledge it took me a 1/2 hour to figure out how to change permissions on the Bash file so I could run it….. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Actually at the end of the docs there is a section that says to change the permissions on the files it is chmod +x filename.

😉

No biggie, let me know how you make out..

Ok.. I have now tried to test on a ARM64 version of Debian on the pI and it will NOT assemble. So to use this project on a pI, you will need to use the Raspberry Pi OS...

I have tested it on pi 64 OS on brand new installs and everything worked out ok. What kind of permissions issues are you having?

Now I need a manual for the Lt. Kernel. 😁

Can you run the SuperCPU and Lt Kernel in unison?

Ive noticed Image is a little slower on the pi than windows with SuperCPU and CMD HD. Not much though actually….
