Hi all-
I created a Door game for my ATDT BBS software that is an homage to the old 80's CompuServe game Island of Kesmai (a game I spent many, many hours playing as a kid, much to the consternation of my dad who was getting the hourly bill from CIS).
If you're not familiar with Island of Kesmai, basically it's an MMO lite. You see the world in a top-down ANSI map which you move your character through. You can group with other players, you can PvP (although the SysOp can turn that off), you can go on some quests, and there are a lot of hidden secrets.
I plan to add a lot more to this, but I didn't want to do it until people actually play... I was able to test with two people, but I really need a bunch of people logged in, because I'm sure there are bugs; up to 99 people can be in the game at once, in theory.
Anyway, please come check it out - if you have some friends that love Doors, bring them along too. It's available at the ATDT BBS demo site: https://www.atdtbbs.com/atdt ... if you're already running a board, you can download it from the main site and add to your /doors folder: https://www.atdtbbs.com
Let me know what you think - good or bad. Even though the game looks pretty bare bones by today's standards, it's deceptively complex.
