I also did so. “E O A.” It seemed odd, though, so I called EA’s phone number in San Mateo, CA and asked the lady on the phone (in 1984/5) if the thing in the middle was an “O” — if it was “E O A.” She said that for the three shapes, the square was an “E” and the pyramid was an “A”, but that the middle ball was just there – a shape, a separator. The three shapes were meant to convey just “E A.” So, there you go.
That is amazing you called, and thanks for sharing as you relayed an answer to a question that has been in my head for decades! LOL I will die calling them EOA because it is ingrained in my head from the 80’s!
