This weekend I was toying around with VICE and figured I would turn the sound back on as I really miss hearing the dings and chimes of when there is BBS activity. I only turned it off as a year ago it was slowing down the clock even with the clock updating the time every 6 hours. I guess one thing I overlooked is I am not running the same VICE version as I was back then. No, I am not running the latest version but it is newer (3.5 r40032) than the one from over a year ago that was slowing down the time.
It has been 2 days with the sound on and the time seems to be holding!! Of course, after posting this that could all change, haha.
I got to say though it is so nice to hear the sounds again, like certain smells sounds like those of Image can trigger some great memories. Memories of being in high school and running my first C-Net BBS to the time I upgraded to Image BBS in 1990.

I concur. The time bug is fixed….in later Vice 😀
Sounds great!! Going to do some testing on the latest nightly soon to see if the tranfers work again.. For now I suggest all to stick with nothing higher then 40835...
