Technical Question:
ย
If you Archive new users and then later Archive more new users does it overwrite the first file or add new file time stamped from the CMD RTC?
No, it just keeps appending to the file.. Here is a little tidbit of info, back in 1996 when I started working on 2.0 with New Image, VF was my baby, I took my 1.2 version which had a lot of extra features such as the Watchdog files, the watchdog files were a lot more then just email sent, and zz log. It also included NISSA Disk downloads Image BBS orders etc. There was about 8 or 9 options. When I started working on 2.0 I removed my personal stuff and only kept what I felt we would leave in 2.0, unfortunately it was never finished as my Lt Kernal had given out and I left the programming team, so what you see is where I finished... The tidbit is I may decide to re-write the VF section and update it to what I envisioned back in 96.. The key word there is MAY.. If I decide to do this it won't take place for a few months as I have other more pressing needs to accomplish.... ๐

To answer the CMD question, most likely it does not change the date on the CMD, although I have never looked at that, 100% of my programming is done on the LT Kernal, I run my BBS on a emulated CMD, but I never do directories to get time stamps so I don't have a definitive answer to that...

@bucko that would be great the VF section ย seems really handy as a daily go to and when the border is a different colorโฆ.

The VF section is great but I must admit sometimes I do some dumb mistakes in there when in a rush as the wrong letter pushed can zap a person!ย ย
What your envisioning would be something I could benefit from based on your other creations!!!ย No rush...ย Is it done yet? how about now! hehe
Seriously no rush. ๐ย

LOL VF can be very powerful. It can also be very full featured, when I put my old 1.2 system files back online 3 years ago I saw everything that was in VF, for me it kept the NISSA applications, NISSA Network applications, along with Image BBS software orders, and a bunch of other things. I also had a blacklist mod which if a user hit ZZ it would ask them was that a mistake? and if they answered no, it dropped their access to 0, wrote a forced mail which told them they were an idiot last time they were online and would delete the account, in addition to that it would drop their time to 0 and log them off.. That was all in there. The zz log works today as I set it back up, one of these days I will release the files.. Oh well..

LOL yes, it sure was. I had a user who was a co-sysOp on another local board and he would do it every time he was online, so I wrote the mod. It caught him first time I installed it. When it caught him he logged on new and begged for his account back, when I told him if he ever did it again he would not be allowed on again, when I warned him I had caller id he never did it again. LOL
