So, I got the scpu-dos-1.4.bin file for my vice setup. I'm currently using BBS on a stick Image 3.0. Can someone help me to get it to work with the vice/lt.kernal configuration. I've tried to change load file in the runme file to the xscpu64 version of vice. Doesn't seem to want to load at that point, so I just end up putting it back to x64sc. Any help would be great as I would like this upgrade for when I launch my BBS here in another month.

Thinking something needs to be set in the config.ini file?

The SuperCPU does NOT work with the Lt Kernal.. You would have to use it with a CMD Hard Drive emulation. The reason the BBS on a Stick uses the Lt Kernal emulated hard drive is because there is no need to purchase a rom to make the hard drive work.
Hope that helps..

@bucko Ty. I will pursue the CMD. Bought it at go4retro. I'll let you know if I need assistance switching the BBS over to it. Ty.
@thekid Using the CMD emulation in VICE with SuperCPU and RAMLink is wicked fast. One of my BBS' "The Kats Alley" is set that way and fast as heck. Using a CMD/piCMD HD like I do with the c64u to run Image on real hardware for my Commodore64BBS.com is fast but still not as fast as The Kats Alley. Now recently I have been playing with the RAD's SuperCPU on my c64u w/cmd and it loads a lot faster but there are a few glitches keeping it from working that the Xlar said he will look into.
Point being, you have a lot of options in what ever direction you want to go. myself I like having it on real hardware but like it was back in the 80s and early 90s when I ran CNet and Image on real hardware you are often having to fix something, a frozen HD, a frozen computer, glitches from power surges, or just stupid random things that require a reboot. With my Kats Alley on vice, using Bucko's latest telnet server software it just flipping works, he will tell you. Kats Alley has gone weeks with out needing a reboot or anything plus its now at 56k and it gets a good amount of daily callers everyday.
Just my $.02 Pesos. 😉
