SD2IEC Support for Image BBS v3.0?

Was wondering if support to SD2IEC was added? I am interested in creating a BBS with a C64 I have sitting around and not looking to spend an arm and a leg on an old hard drive off of eBay. Thanks!

If it acts like a drive, then yes it will work. I have a uIEC/SD by Jim Brain partitioned into 12 partitions and it worked fine when I ran it like that. If it doesn't support partitions then you can still use it as one big drive. Folders are not supported as partitions.. Larry anything to add to this??

How big were your partitions you made on your uIEC/SD?  Is 16meg the limit per partition still?

12 partitions.. were those used for UD sections along with areas of the BBS?

@palkat

There are certain functions that the SD2IEC drives do not perform like they do on other drives. The two that I know of are the functions for renaming a file and copying a file. Several years ago, I made corrections to all the Image 1.2 program files that used those functions so that they would work on both SD2IEC drives as well as conventional drives. Those corrections have been carried through to both Image 2.0 and 3.0.

As for the size of the SD card partitions, first be aware that the SD card should be formatted as FAT32. Make your partitions as small as FAT32 will allow which is calculated as sector size (4KB) x 65527 = 256 MB.

My partitions were set up for I think 1 or 2 gigs each, I doubt they were using the full amount but it worked and they worked well for almost 2 years.. Like Larry said though, make sure you format them as FAT32 otherwise, you will have issues..
