As many of you know, the BBS on a Stick project was scrapped back in 2020 when 3.0 was released and folks started having issues again with it finding the drives etc. I am considering restarting the project again because people are having issues installing Image BBS on their computers. If I do this, it would be a Lt Kernal setup for WINDOWS ONLY, it would be a base system with older release files and YOU would have to install any of the updates that have been released since the original release date, that would include any and all fixes that X-Tec has put out also. If I find the time to update the files myself I would install them. I am also considering a BBS on a Stick base set up for Linux (DEBIAN/Ubuntu Derivatives only), that would basically be a File Directory with the BBS stuff needed. YOU would have to install TCPSER and Vice. I am going to post this message on Facebook also.. Let me know what you folks think...

@Bucko this will be very welcomed on here as I have periodically told you folks still ask for it and BBS on a stick 2.0 was to date one of the most downloaded items on 8bitboyz.com. Most people from what I was and am still told, enjoyed installing it so they could explore the back end of what it was like to run a BBS from back in the day, and yes there were a good amount of folks that also used it to run a full functioning BBS.
I like the fact it would be LT Kernal setup as myself I would like to play with that setup versus my current to compare and explore. I think the linux distro of BBS on a stick is also a great idea as there are more hobbyist going that route for BBSes and such. So my $.02 is a big HECK YEAH, do it!! 😆 But you already knew that. 😉

Thank you Sir. The project has been restarted and has been completed. The files are ready to go, I have created both a 32bit version and a 64bit version. The 64bit version will be made available and the 32bit will be upon request. Right now it can't get any easier to install, unzip it, drop it on your C:\ drive and run the runme.bat file.. Configure the BBS and you are off and running.. I will release it at 10pm next Saturday night (3/25/23) at the same time I will drop the Wrong Number Family Of BBS' first PFile disk. Both items will be available on my Facebook Group, My website (www.wrgnbr.com) and this website 8bitboyz.com!! I will be holding a "release party" on CIA Amiga BBS (ciaamiga.org:6400) at release time.. I look forward to seeing you all on CIA Amiga BBS at 10pm 3/25!!

Just a quick add on if by chance we get a lot of people to show up for the release party and there are no slots open on CIA Amiga BBS my C-Net Amiga BBS will also be accepting partiers that show up. wn3.wrgnbr.com:6400 On that BBS I also have 10 lines available but for that night I will bump it up to 20 lines available.. I doubt we will need 30 lines for party goers but who knows...
