8-Bit Boyz BBS is this websites official BBS! Offering fsxNet, FidoNet, RetroNet, CNet message networks, inter bbs games and more!
The System Operator’s primary motivation in running this BBS is to have fun in retro computing. He exerted effort to make this BBS give you a mid-1990’s BBSing experience. FsxNet and Fidonet echo mail areas are available here. Popular door games such as (but not limited to) LORD, LORD2, Global War, etc., can be played here.
I first created Alcoholiday BBS in 1995 after I became aware of Amiga BBS systems such as those running AmiExpress I found the all-ASCII art style, Amiga fonts, and /X setup fascinating, so I decided to see if I could setup my favorite BBS software, Renegade, to emulate those systems.
Recently, I decided to re-create the system with the latest version of Renegade. I compiled my own modified version from the source code to remove characters that were causing issues with the Amiga font set, and to fine-tune a few other visual bits.
Networks include FidoNet, fsxNet, ArakNet and MetroNet.

Black Flag: The World’s Most Dangerous BBS!
Online since January 1984, (with minor deviations), the Boot Factory has been running in Richmond VA for years... first as an Atari 8-bit BBS (1984-88), next as a PC BBS running in Fidonet (from 1988-1996) and then back on an Atari 8-bit emulator (since 1999). We were an original beta tester for BBS:Express v1.0 back in 1986. Also home of the original 'BBS on a stick' back in 2008 with 2 different released stick systems; BBS:Express v1.0 and Carina v2.7... both Atari 8-bit systems running on the a800win emulator on a PC.

Darkrealms is a Bulletin Board System in Toronto Canada. It has been online since 1994 and is one of the oldest and last remaining systems running the MS-DOS Renegade software.
Darkrealms still has a dialup modem line and connections to Fidonet, still functioning as a major Hub system for many years now.
Once upon a time in the 90's, Darkrealms was a notorious uncensored free-for-all. It was constantly busy with people calling for their daily fix of gaming, chat rooms and message exchange. Many users purchased computers with modems for the sole purpose of calling into Darkrealms and other boards in the area. When the Internet became popular amongst the masses, the BBS scene died but was not forgotten.
Hey chummers!
We got more echo nets hooked up for more comms between folks. When ya jack in you'll be seein' stuff from the new nets of fsxNET, GatorNet, and SciNet in addition to FidoNet and AgoraNet we already had.
Coming hopefully soon will be LinuxNet and SysopTechNet, but those I wouldn't hold ye breath for. Seems we gots no responders to those nets anymore, so getting them to fix their stuff ain't showing good signs so far. Dreks I tell ye!
Got an echo network ye wanna see chums? Lemme know, and I'll look into 'em and get them too.
